Dear Candy Hearts Exchange Creator,
First of all, thank you so much for making something for me! I really love all of these fandoms and relationships I’m requesting, so I’m sure I’ll like anything you make for any of them!
My previous exchange letters can be found here, my AO3 account is here, and my tumblr is here.

Requests
Any prompts listed are just ideas and suggestions, and if you have your own super great idea for any of these fandoms and relationships you should totally go for it! I haven’t tried to separate out fic/art prompts, so feel free to interpret anything in either direction.
Also as a general note, I am okay with pretty much any way of dealing with conflicting canon relationships except for unrequested poly – breakups, handwaves, infidelity, died off-screen, completely unmentioned, all fine.
Amphibia
Grime & Sasha Waybright
Grime/Sasha Waybright
Their relationship is just so fun and weirdly sweet. I love how they start off just using each other and are both aware of it, but they wind up genuinely getting along and caring about each other and sticking with the other out of loyalty even if they disagree. And also they just really enjoy beating up giant monsters together.
I enjoy them happily being villains and leading conquering armies and also their eventual change of heart leading to them protecting Wartwood and heading up the resistance from there. I also find it interesting that Sasha made herself at home almost as much as Marcy and didn’t seem too fussed about when/if she made it back to Earth, so some AU future scenario where she stays in Amphibia or is able to easily return and becomes really established there with Grime would be fun to explore. And one of my favorite little things is how completely in sync they are whenever they fight together, barely having to say a word or do anything to signal each other, so I would also enjoy anything about them training and practicing combo moves or just them striking cool fighting poses together. Or more of Grime carrying Sasha for whatever reason.
The Bear
Garrett/Richard "Richie" Jerimovich
Garrett/Richard "Richie" Jerimovich/Jessica
I just got around to watching this show recently, and the “Forks” episode really endeared me to Richie. I especially loved the rapport he developed with Garrett and then Jess and the way they both really took him under their wing when he started showing actual interest in what they do. And then he gets to show how much he learned from them in the finale episodes.
Idk, I’d just like to see them interacting more. Maybe Garrett or Garrett and Jess come check in on The Bear after it opens, or maybe something happens to put Richie back at their restaurant or just some special event comes up where they all get to work together again.
Dishonored
Billie Lurk & Thomas
Billie Lurk & The Whalers
The relationship Billie has with the other Whalers is really fascinating to me, since they generally seem to respect her while she stays kind of aloof from everyone but Daud. Some of the comments they make after her betrayal and exile/death are pretty interesting, along with the letter from another former Whaler in the sequel. And Thomas was next in the chain of command, and he and Billie apparently either stayed in touch or reestablished contact after Dunwall, so I’m curious what kind of relationship they had.
Anything from their Whaler days would be fun. Who did Billie come up through the ranks with? Did they train together, commiserate over dealing with new recruits, complain about the boss, or was she already keeping to herself? Or anything later on, after Billie’s betrayal and the last days of the Whalers. How did she wind up in contact with Thomas again? Did she meet up with anyone else? Maybe Thomas or another Whaler was a passenger on the Dreadful Wale once, or maybe they meet again after the events of Death of the Outsider.
Daud/Billie Lurk
This is one of those relationships that was basically tailor-made for me. Mentor/student, leader and their close subordinate who can get away things others can’t, age gap, complicated issues of trust and loyalty and betrayal and forgiveness – these are a few of my favorite things. I love everything about these two and their messy, complex history with each other.
I would love pretty much anything for these two – something from their Whaler days pulling off jobs or fighting and training and blowing off steam together, AUs where they meet up again earlier than in canon and have to sort their shit out without that time pressure helping them along, spending their last little bit of time together on the Dreadful Wale, AU endings to Death of the Outsider and its aftermath, fun with Fugue Feast, anything.
Daud/Jessamine Kaldwin
So, this one is a little bit complicated, given that Daud’s hired killing of Jessamine is the inciting incident for the whole series, but I think there’s some interesting potential here. Daud has a clear respect for Jessamine, and her death affects him in a way none of his other victims has. And Jessamine gets the rare opportunity to assess her murderer after her death, and she finds herself a little conflicted about what he deserves, despite her justified anger. And before all of that, they were both prominent, powerful figures running different parts of the same city – who’s to say they never had any dealings with each other in all those years before the murder?
I’d just be interested in any kind of possible interaction between these two. Maybe pre-canon Jessamine had reason to hire an assassin, or she tried to get rid of the Whaler presence in her city, or they crossed paths in some other way while doing their jobs. Or maybe an AU where Daud decides not to go through with the assassination for whatever reason and they develop some kind of relationship in the aftermath. Fun with Fugue Feast is also very welcome here.
Daud & Emily Kaldwin
I find the idea of these two so interesting. He killed her mother and helped kidnap her as a child, then made a pretty good go at killing her father too, but he also saved her from a fate worse than death at Delilah’s hands. And she never knew that part until more than a decade later, after she unknowingly befriended his former lieutenant and snuck into her cabin to listen to a recording about it. What a fascinatingly complex connection between two characters who never actually spoke to each other on screen.
I would love any kind of interaction between these two. Handwave the timeline on Death of the Outsider stuff and let them meet somehow - maybe Emily gets involved in the Eyeless cult investigation through Billie or stumbles on it herself beforehand. Or maybe Daud gets involved in the Dishonored 2 plot since Delilah is around again and he has experience in dealing with her. Or they even meet before (or after, if you want to handwave Daud’s death) all that somehow, somewhere in the isles.
Fruits Basket
Honda Tohru/Sohma Kyou/Sohma Momiji
I’ve been intrigued by the idea of this ship for a little while now. Obviously, Kyou and Momiji both love Tohru, and Tohru cares deeply for both of them, but Kyou and Momiji have an interesting dynamic, too. Momiji is one of the most openly friendly of the Sohmas toward Kyou, telling him that he’s going to stop giving up on the cat and pushing him to pursue Tohru, even though he’s a ‘rival’ for her affections. And Kyou is always fairly comfortable interacting with Momiji compared to some of the others, even if he does deliberately push Kyou’s buttons and annoy him sometimes. I think the three of them would probably balance each other out pretty nicely.
I’d be interested in seeing how the three of them might navigate a relationship together, especially post-series. How would Momiji be drawn into the established couple of Tohru and Kyou, since he never really thought he had a chance in canon? Or would the two of them break up for some reason and then all come together afterward? How would the other Sohmas react? Having them get together or have some awkward moments during the series would be interesting, too, especially while still dealing with the curse.
Honda Tohru/Sohma Momiji
I love both of these characters and their interactions with each other. They just have such a sweet relationship and are so great to each other, and I loved seeing that friendship and Momiji’s quiet feelings grow over the course of the series.
More quiet pining, Tohru developing feelings and not quite realizing it, or some shift to canon that lets them get together are all welcome here. Also one thing I really love about these two is how openly physically affectionate they are. In a series full of people who are (understandably) not big on touch, Momiji and Tohru are always holding hands and leaning on each other and even hugging even though it turns one of them into a rabbit. So I would love seeing more of that open affection here.
Manabe Kakeru/Sohma Yuki
I really love this relationship so much, especially how their friendship helps them both become better, more confident people. Kakeru pushes Yuki into showing his real personality and having more natural reactions, which is really important as he’s trying to break out of the manufactured, inoffensive, ‘princely’ personality he’s developed. And Yuki lets Kakeru know when he’s gone too far and helps him become more empathetic and understanding of other people’s feelings. Also they’re hilarious together, especially as Yuki becomes more comfortable and their interactions become more mutually teasing.
I’d be interested in seeing what happens post-series and how they stay in each other’s lives outside of the Student Council. I’d also like to see them interacting with each other’s families. Kakeru gets along well with Ayame and has had a few brief interactions with some of the other Sohmas, but I’d love to see more of that and to see how the Sohmas react to him. Kakeru’s family life isn’t quite as screwed up as Yuki’s, but it’s still pretty messy. How does Yuki fit in to a more mundane set of family issues? I’d also love to see what would have happened if Kakeru somehow found out about the curse before it was broken. How would he react to it? Would he be brought into the loop like Tohru? Would they try to keep his finding out a secret? Would there be another upsetting memory erasing scene? Or just more Student Council shenanigans and Kakeru and Yuki’s increasing lack of personal space with each other would always be fun!
Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood & Manga
Olivier Mira Armstrong/Miles
I’m a sucker for leaders and their close subordinates; I love that kind of loyalty and trust, especially if it goes both ways as is clearly the case for Olivier and Miles. We don’t get a ton on their relationship in the series, but I love the glimpses we do get: Olivier explaining to Miles why she needs someone like him at her side, Miles saying that Olivier was the one to convince him he could make a difference from within the military, Olivier releasing Miles to help with the Ishval restoration at the end.
I’d love to see anything expanding on what we see in canon. How did Miles wind up working under Olivier at Briggs? What kinds of conflicts and tensions did they have before figuring each other out? Do they keep in touch while he’s working to rebuild Ishval, and does the relationship change at all now that he no longer reports directly to her? Does he wind up back at Briggs when he’s done? What happens if one or both of them retires down the line? Or just some quiet moments spent throughout their years together.
Girl Genius
I am okay with the general background poly assumption of Agatha’s Future Harem here. I’m also okay with it not being assumed.
Agatha Heterodyne & Moloch von Zinzer
I love all the loyalty stuff in this canon, and this is a particularly fun one. They got off to such a bad start at the beginning of the series, and then Moloch almost immediately stumbles into being one of her best supporters when they meet again, protesting all the way.
I’d just enjoy seeing more of them interacting, maybe post-canon in some less life-or-death situations (or just different life-or-death situations), with Moloch continuing to be one of her best allies and non-sparky voices of reason. It would be fun to see him just kinda become a fixture of the town alongside Agatha, reluctantly finding fulfillment where he never wanted to.
Agatha Heterodyne & Vanamond von Mekkhan
Another fun loyalty thing. I read some of the novelizations of the comic recently, and there’s a bit from Van’s POV that really stuck with me: The Heterodyne. Of course it was she. Everything he was and that his family had been for generations recognized her as the thing that had been missing from his life, and in that moment of realization he became forever and irrevocably hers.
He was under the influence of the coffee at the time, but still.
The sort of intrinsic, almost genetic aspect that triggers when he meets “his” Heterodyne is really interesting to me, and it would be cool to see that explored some. Or just more of the two interacting directly, since Van seems to do a lot of his work separately from Agatha in keeping her town running smoothly. Or maybe the conversation where he managed to convince her that Gil’s statue design made for good Town Hall decor.
Theopholous DuMedd & Agatha Heterodyne
Cousins! They never did get much of a chance to really catch up in Mechanicsburg. They both deserve some nice bonding time with family that’s not dead or evil or otherwise fraught with extremely complicated mixed emotions.
Maybe Agatha helps out with Theo’s search for his father’s secret lab, or maybe they just visit each other after everything has settled down. For family game night, or something.
Martellus von Blitzengaard & Agatha Heterodyne
Martellus von Blitzengaard/Agatha Heterodyne
Martellus von Blitzengaard & Tarvek Sturmvoraus
I don’t know how or why, but I came out the other end of my latest catch-up read really enjoying Martellus as a character. He tends to be on generally the same side of major conflicts as Our Heroes, with a few crucial divergences that keep him from being an actual ally, which makes for some fun interactions.
I liked all the times he and Agatha wound up working together (and really liked when he was dependent on her mercy and physical touch due to his own bad choices), and I’m a sucker for a classic “oops, caught feelings”. I would just love anything more along any of those lines. Maybe with Martellus continuing to try and do better with Agatha and winding up more genuinely on her side, and Agatha reluctantly becoming a bit fond of him. Or at least tolerating him in larger doses.
As far as Martellus and Tarvek go, their interactions before the whole kidnapping and attempted murder thing gave me the impression that they actually used to get along fairly well, at least by their family’s standards. I would enjoy seeing them have more positive interactions, either something from their childhoods or reconnecting in the future. Or just commiserating over family.
Psychonauts
Sasha Nein/Milla Vodello
I love everything about these two. They’re psychic secret agent partners! They go on ridiculous missions together and fight crime - psychic crime! One of these missions involved being undercover in elaborate costumes at a fancy party! They have had at least one clichéd instance of falling down and landing on top of each other in a ~romantic~ pose! They reach for each other as their plane is going down! I eat this stuff up with a spoon.
While Psychonauts 2 was tragically not The Sasha and Milla Kissing Game, I really enjoyed that it gave us more of them in their element at the Motherlobe and also out on a real mission. I would love to see even more of them working together, in the field, at camp, or at the office. All the other characters are great too, so bringing in campers, interns, and coworkers would be very welcome – the fact that there is office gossip about their relationship is a delight to me. Exploring just how strong their psychic bond is (they’re always talking!) and how they came to be so close would also be great.
Well, that about sums it up, I think. Again, thank you so much for creating something for me! If you like prompts, I hope what I gave you is helpful. If you prefer to work without them, I look forward to seeing whatever you come up with. I’m sure whatever you make will be awesome!
