First of all, thank you so much for making something for me! I really love all of these fandoms and relationships I’m requesting, so I’m sure I’ll like anything you make for any of them!
If you’re the journal stalking type, my previous exchange letters can be found here and here, my AO3 account is here, and my tumblr is here. Other than that, I don’t have much of an online presence, but I will try to give you everything you need to know right here.
General Likes/Dislikes
Likes: A strong sense of character and character relationships. Any prompts listed are just ideas and suggestions, and if you have your own super great idea for any of these fandoms and relationships you should totally go for it! I haven’t tried to separate out fic/art prompts, so feel free interpret anything in either direction.
Also as a general note, I am okay with pretty much any way of dealing with canon relationships except for unrequested poly – breakups, handwaves, infidelity, died off-screen, completely unmentioned, all fine.
Dishonored
Daud/Billie Lurk
This is one of those relationships that was basically tailor-made for me. Mentor/student, leader and their close subordinate who can get away things others can’t, age gap, complicated issues of trust and loyalty and betrayal and forgiveness – these are a few of my favorite things. I love everything about these two and their messy, complex history with each other. I was doomed basically from Billie’s first line, and it only got better from there.
I would love pretty much anything for these two – something from their Whaler days fighting and training and blowing off steam together, AUs where they meet up again earlier than in canon and have to sort their shit out without that time pressure helping them along, spending their last little bit of time together on the Dreadful Wale, AU endings to Death of the Outsider and its aftermath, fun with Fugue Feast, anything.
Daud/Jessamine Kaldwin
So, this one is a little bit complicated, given that Daud’s hired killing of Jessamine is the inciting incident for the whole series, but I think there’s some interesting potential here. Daud has a clear respect for Jessamine, and her death affects him in a way none of his other victims has. And Jessamine gets the rare opportunity to assess her murderer after her death, and she finds herself a little conflicted about what he deserves, despite her justified anger. And before all of that, they were both prominent, powerful figures running different parts of the same city – who’s to say they never had any dealings with each other in all those years before the murder?
I’d just be interested in any kind of possible interaction between these two. Maybe pre-canon Jessamine had reason to hire an assassin, or she tried to get rid of the Whaler presence in her city, or they crossed paths in some other way while doing their jobs. Or maybe an AU where Daud decides not to go through with the assassination for whatever reason and they develop some kind of relationship in the aftermath. Fun with Fugue Feast is also welcome here.
Galia Fleet & Billie Lurk
I love these angry Whaler girls. I love the whole aesthetic and lore around the Whalers in general, but Billie was my favorite from basically her first line, and Galia was easily the most interesting part of The Corroded Man for me. I like that they’re both very deadly and ruthless people with a lot of bitterness, though in different ways and with different outcomes in their lives.
I like how Galia obviously has a lot of resentment towards Billie and her position as second in command, while it seems like Billie barely knew Galia was even a part of their gang, and it would be fun to see that explored. I would enjoy anything from their Whaler days, how they interacted with each other and the rest of their gang, or any kind of AU where they meet again later and how that would go down. Or any kind of Void nonsense that lets them meet after Galia’s death.
(Also, while I wouldn’t exactly say I ship it, I could definitely be into Galia having an angry, one-sided attraction to Billie that she’s really grumpy about having. Also Fun with Fugue Feast, you know the drill.)
Beatrici Attano & Emily Kaldwin
Hey, Emily already got the dubious pleasure of meeting Delilah, she should get to meet her other aunt. I love Emily, and Beatrici Attano is one of those characters we know so little about but what we do know is so fascinating. Dishonored is full of interesting family dynamics ready to be explored, and I’d love to see this one.
Beatrici wanted to see the world and disappeared out into it years ago; Emily rules a whole empire and is trying to be more aware and involved with it. There are so many ways and places and times they could meet! It’d be cool to see them travelling together, too. Maybe even a Dishonored 2 AU where Emily flees Dunwall on Beatrici’s ship instead of Billie’s? Also feel free to add Corvo in to any fun family reunions if you want.
Fruits Basket
Manabe Kakeru/Sohma Yuki
I really love this relationship so much, especially how their friendship helps them both become better, more confident people. Kakeru pushes Yuki into showing his real personality and having more natural reactions, which is really important as he’s trying to break out of the manufactured, inoffensive, ‘princely’ personality he’s developed. And Yuki lets Kakeru know when he’s gone too far and helps him become more empathetic and understanding of other people’s feelings. And they’re hilarious together, especially as Yuki becomes more comfortable and their interactions become more mutually teasing.
I’d be interested in seeing what happens post-series and how they stay in each other’s lives outside of the Student Council. I’d also like to see them interacting with each other’s families. Kakeru gets along well with Ayame and has had a few brief interactions with some of the other Sohmas, but I’d love to see more of that and to see how the Sohmas react to him. Kakeru’s family life isn’t quite as screwed up as Yuki’s, but it’s still pretty messy. How does Yuki fit in to a more mundane set of family issues? I’d also love to see what would have happened if Kakeru somehow found out about the curse before it was broken. How would he react to it? Would he be brought into the loop like Tohru? Would they try to keep his finding out a secret? Would there be another upsetting memory erasing scene? Or just more Student Council shenanigans would always be fun!
Honda Tohru/Sohma Akito
I never would have guessed going into this series that Akito would wind up being one of the most fascinating characters to me and that her relationship with Tohru would wind up being one of my favorites, but that’s definitely where I am now. I love how drastically their relationship changes over the series and how profoundly they impact each other, especially considering they really only meet face-to-face a couple of times. They’re both just really flawed and damaged people dealing with it in very different ways.
I would love to see their relationship continuing to grow after the end of the series, both trying to move forward with the changes they’re making, or just seeing them spend some nice, non-antagonistic time together. I also wouldn’t mind some darker AUs taking place during the canon timeline, with Akito becoming possessive of Tohru as a way of keeping her away from the other Sohmas or something along those lines, though I still like Tohru’s nature winning over Akito in the end.
Honda Tohru/Sohma Momiji
I love both of these characters and their interactions with each other. They just have such a sweet relationship and are so great to each other, and I loved seeing that friendship and Momiji’s quiet feelings grow over the course of the series.
More quiet pining, Tohru developing feelings and not quite realizing it, or some shift to canon that lets them get together are all welcome here. Also one thing I really love about these two is how openly physically affectionate they are. In a series full of people who are (understandably) not big on touch, Momiji and Tohru are always holding hands and leaning on each other and even hugging even though it turns one of them into a rabbit. So I would love seeing more of that open affection here.
Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood & Manga
Olivier Mira Armstrong/Miles
I’m a sucker for leaders and their close subordinates; I love that kind of loyalty and trust, especially if it goes both ways as is clearly the case for Olivier and Miles. We don’t get a ton on their relationship in the series, but I love the glimpses we do get: Olivier explaining to Miles why she needs someone like him at her side, Miles saying that Olivier was the one to convince him he could make a difference from within the military, Olivier releasing Miles to help with the Ishval restoration at the end.
I’d love to see anything expanding on what we see in canon. How did Miles wind up working under Olivier at Briggs? What kinds of conflicts and tensions did they have before figuring each other out? Do they keep in touch while he’s working to rebuild Ishval, and does the relationship change at all now that he no longer reports directly to her? Does he wind up back at Briggs when he’s done? What happens if one or both of them retires down the line? Or just some quiet moments spent throughout their years together.
Lackadaisy
Ivy Pepper/Viktor Vasko
Big, strong, curmudgeonly characters who have a not-so-secret soft spot for small, sweet, perky characters (with a not-so-secret sharp edge) are a weakness of mine. I love that he can be murderously protective of her, but she also has a clear power over him, to the point where others will bring Ivy along as a shield if they think Viktor might be unhappy with them. I love how Ivy reacts to Viktor being in danger by being aggressively cheerful and unwilling to let him mope alone, while Viktor reacts to Ivy being in danger by being an asshole and trying to drive her away – and neither of them quite understands what the other is doing and they just wind up arguing.
I’d love to see them moving forward from where we last saw them – working through their big argument and reconciling, Ivy dealing with everything she’s learned about Viktor recently and figuring out why she feels so weird about the whole ‘estranged wife and daughter’ thing, Viktor reluctantly teaching Ivy the skills of their trade now that she’s becoming more involved, etc. Where do they wind up further down the road, after prohibition ends and things settle? Or maybe something terrible happens to everyone else around them and they wind up doing their own cat people version of the movie Léon. Or just something cute like Ivy using Viktor for his warmth in winter.
Mordecai Heller/Ivy Pepper/Viktor Vasko
IDK, I just think it would be interesting. They’ve all know each other for a while and have an interesting set of relationships, though we don’t really see the Ivy-Mordecai angle of it on page, and I think they could come together in some fascinating ways.
I’m afraid I don’t have a ton of ideas for this one – something happens that leads to them having to hang together to survive? Some tweak to past canon events that keeps them all staying on the same side together for longer and developing some working relationship? I’d really be interested to see any kind of neat take on this idea.
Psychonauts
Sasha Nein/Milla Vodello
Superstar Psychonauts Sasha Nein and Milla Vodello! They don’t actually have a ton of direct interaction in the game itself, but I love the implied relationship between the two. They are psychic secret agents! They go on ridiculous missions together and fight crime - psychic crime! One of these missions involved being undercover in elaborate costumes at a fancy party! They have had at least one clichéd instance of falling down and landing on top of each other in a ~romantic~ pose! I eat this stuff up with a spoon.
Would just love to see more for these two – early days in the Psychonauts, training, first missions, first summer teaching at Whispering Rock. Time spent at the office between missions, attending office parties, interactions with co-workers, time spent off the clock together. Exploring each other’s mental worlds, learning each other’s darker histories. Or just more silly psychic spy adventures like we see in Milla’s memory vault.
