Every Woman 2018 Letter

First of all, thank you so much for making something for me! I really love all of these characters and relationships I’m requesting, so I’m sure I’ll like anything you make for any of them!
If you’re the journal stalking type, my previous exchange letters can be found here and here, my AO3 account is here, and my tumblr is here. Other than that, I don’t have much of an online presence, but I will try to give you everything you need to know right here.
General Likes/Dislikes
Likes: A strong sense of character and character relationships. Characters who know each other better than anyone else, whether they are friends, lovers, colleagues, enemies, or any combination of the above. Trust and loyalty. Competence. Intimate body language. People who have no sense of personal space with each other. Outsider perspectives – either a stranger’s view of the main characters or a friend or relative’s view of a character’s relationships. Interweaving plots. Slice of life. Roadtrips. Mission fic. Future fic. Canon divergence AUs. Supernatural/fantasy/______punk/in space! AUs. Backstory. Interesting worldbuilding details. Undercover as a couple. Friends to lovers. Developing relationships. Culture clashes. People who are bad at communicating finally managing it.
Dislikes: Porn with no other story around it (I am A-okay with it as long as there's some kind of set-up). Permanent major character death. Non-con. Extreme underage. Parent-child incest. Unrequested crossovers. ‘Modern mundane’/high school/coffee shop AUs. Love triangles where everyone acts immature and no one communicates. First person POV, unless the original canon is in first person. Creepily invested matchmaker friends. Anything A/B/O, dom/sub world, soulmates, or magical bonding.
Requests
Any prompts listed are just ideas and suggestions, and if you have your own super great idea for any of these fandoms and characters you should totally go for it! I am requesting both fic and art for all fandoms. As a general rule, I am fine with any canon ships for the characters requested.
Dishonored
Billie Lurk, Galia Fleet, Galia Fleet & Billie Lurk
I love these angry Whaler girls. I love the whole aesthetic and lore around the Whalers in general, but Billie was my favorite from basically her first line, and Galia was easily the most interesting part of The Corroded Man for me. I like that they’re both very deadly and ruthless people with a lot of bitterness, though in different ways and with different outcomes in their lives.
I would enjoy anything about their time as Whalers, either individually or interacting with each other. I like how Galia obviously has a lot of resentment towards Billie and her position as second in command, while it seems like Billie barely knew Galia was even a part of their gang, and it would be fun to see that explored. I’d also enjoy seeing more of how they interacted with Daud or other Whalers. I would also enjoy seeing more of their lives afterward: Billie forming her new identity after her exile and Galia dealing with her loss of purpose and direction after the Whalers disbanded. Or Galia with the Whalers during the short period of time that Thomas took over.
I’d also be interested in either character and their relationship with the Void and/or the Outsider. Galia was desperate for the power they provided and is likely to become one of those troubled, wandering souls after her death, and Billie obviously had some pretty complicated interactions there with the events of Death of the Outsider.
(I don’t necessarily ship this, but I could definitely be into Galia having an angry, one-sided attraction to Billie that she’s really grumpy about having.)
Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood & Manga
May Chang & Lan Fan, Lan Fan & Winry Rockbell, Pinako Rockbell & Sara Rockbell
Fullmetal Alchemist has so many wonderful female characters and had so many great nominations that I had trouble narrowing it down to just a few so I could actually manage the letter writing!
For May Chang and Lan Fan, I find their complex relationship and how tied up it is in their shared culture’s sense of honor and tradition really fascinating, especially as they have fairly different personalities on top of it all. I’d love to see more of that, especially as they are working past that history and returning home together at the end of the series. I want to see how they deal with the changes that come about after Ling takes the throne, how they continue to interact with each other and maybe slowly become friends and allies, or just a moment or two along the way where they talk and learn more about each other.
I would love to see Lan Fan and Winry interacting more, especially post-series. Maybe now that the danger has passed, Winry actually does become Lan Fan’s automail mechanic. She would probably at least want to take a look at the design if she gets the chance. Maybe Winry visits Xing or Ling visits Amestris and of course brings his bodyguard. I would also be interested in something taking place during the series. There are a couple of times where they’re in the same area and could have interacted, even if it wasn’t shown on page.
For Pinako and Sara, I’m interested in what their in-law relationship was like. Sara married into the family, but she seems to fully embrace it as her own, proudly declaring herself a “Rockbell woman” during the Ishval flashback. Did they get along well from the start, or was it a rockier road? Maybe they even met first, and that’s how Sara met Urey. I’d also love seeing them discussing their work together – the fields of medicine and automail obviously have a lot of overlap, so I could see them talking shop. Maybe they even worked together on a few patients.
Psychonauts
Milla Vodello, Milla Vodello & Lili Zanotto
Psychonauts is such a delightful mix of light-hearted comedy, charmingly bizarre characters, and awful trauma and tragedy. This is especially evident in Milla, with her bubbly personality, love of disco, and backstory featuring burning orphans. I’d love to see more of her transition into becoming a superstar Psychonaut, how she joined the organization, what kind of training she went through, what her early missions were like, how she dealt with her trauma along the way. I’d also be interested in seeing some of her day-to-day life on the job, normal days in the office or at the camp, her relationships with her fellow coworkers, what she does on her off days. I love her relationship with Sasha (and do ship it), so feel free to include him in anything.
For Milla and Lili, I’d like to see more of how they interact, either in the current timeframe or in the future. Milla is a counselor at the camp Lili’s been attending for years, and she also seems to be on good terms with her father, so there’s probably been some babysitting going on throughout the years. Do they get along well? Is Lili a good student? Does her talent for ‘burning stuff’ bring up any unpleasant memories for Milla? I’d also love to see them working together in the future, when Lili is older and has officially joined the Psychonauts.
